Recognize these trees?

It’s March 31 and spring has sprung. Here are some native trees of the PNW that are common in my neighborhood. Do you recognize these trees by their buds?

In this first picture, notice (i) the two buds opposite each other; and (ii) the thick, heavy twig.

Here’s another:

In this second picture, the tree has (i) two buds opposite each other, just like in the first picture; (ii) a more delicate twig; and (iii) some red color on the twig.

In this third picture, the tree has (i) a single bud—i.e., without a second bud opposite it—and (ii) the bud is blunt. (This bud is beginning to open.)

In this fourth picture, notice (i) the sharp, pointed bud; and (ii) only one bud at the end of the twig (most commonly), though sometimes there are two or three.
